Biography
"La Fundación SGAE y la Asociación Ool-Ya-Koo acaban de hacer públicos los nombres de los autores seleccionados en la sexta edición del Concurso. El jurado (Iñaki Askunze, Duccio Bertini, Fernando Bueno y Jaume Miquel) decidió otorgar las tres primeras menciones a 'Llegará, llegará' de Emilio Solla, 'Back on Track' de Cristian Letelier y 'Aural' de Gregorio Herreros Sánchez"
Gregorio Herreros es un pianista, compositor y
arreglista nacido en Granada, y afincado en
Málaga y Rotterdam. Actualmente se
encuentra estudiando un máster de composición jazz
en el prestigioso conservatorio Codarts, situado en
Rotterdam, Holanda.
En su haber cuenta con premios tales como el primer
premio en el I concurso de composición organizado
por la ASANVIOLA, o el tercer premio en el V y VI concurso
internacional de composición y arreglos para
big band organizado por la fundación SGAE.
Además, su música ha sido interpretada en lugares
como en el VI Festival Nacional de Violas, el Teatro
CajaGranada del Centro Cultural Memoria de
Andalucía, o el 15 FEX (67 Festival Internacional de
Música y Danza de Granada).

Como intérprete, ha compartido escenario con grandes músicos del panorama español como Ernesto Aurignac, Jesús Bachiller "Bachi", Dani Domínguez, Enrique Oliver, Andrés Litwin o Omar Alcaide entro otros, y recibido clases de músicos de talla internacional como Tigran Hamasyan, Jorge Pardo, Bruce Barth o Guillermo Klein.

Asimismo, ha participado en diferentes festivales, como el “The Jazz Experience” organizado por El Corte Inglés (2017), el festival literario “MÁLAGA 451, la noche de los libros” (2019), el ciclo de “Portón del Jazz en la Calle” (2019) y el “Festival de jazz… en tu zona”, parte del Festival de Jazz abierto de Málaga (2019).

También ha aparecido en diferentes trabajos discográficos tales como “Anthony Jiménez Orchestra” (2020) o “Hybrid/C” (cuyo estreno se prevé para 2021), colaborando con músicos de la talla de Reinier Elizarde “El Negrón”, Bobby Martínez, Manuel Machado, Georvis Pico o Carlos Cippelletti, entre otros.
Gregorio Herreros is a pianist, composer and arranger born in Granada, and settled between Málaga and Rotterdam. Currently, he is studying a master's degree in jazz composition at the prestigious Codarts Conservatory, located in Rotterdam (Netherlands).

Among the awards won, stand out the first prize in the 1st organized composition contest by ASANVIOLA, and the
third prize in the V and VI in the international contest of
compositions and arrangements for big band organized
by the SGAE Foundation.
Besides, his music has been performed in places
as in the VI National Festival of Violas, the Theater
CajaGranada of the Memory of Cultural Center
Andalucía, or the 15th FEX (67th International Festival of
Music and Dance of Granada).
